We believe children learn best when they feel safe, valued and listened to. Our experienced team builds warm, trusting relationships with children and works closely with families so that we understand each child’s individual interests, strengths, needs and stage of development.

We are open Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 6.30pm and aim to provide flexible childcare that can meet the individual needs of families.

Our provision includes:

  • Full-time and sessional childcare.
  • Care and education from birth to school age.
  • Government-funded early education and childcare places, subject to eligibility and the nursery’s current funding arrangements.
  • Purposeful indoor and outdoor learning experiences.
  • A strong focus on children’s wellbeing, independence and school readiness.
  • Close partnership working with parents and carers.

Our approach is rooted in learning through play. Children are encouraged to explore, investigate, communicate, create, solve problems, develop friendships and become increasingly independent. We provide experiences that allow children to learn at their own pace while developing the skills and confidence they need for their next steps.

Welcoming a child to the nursery

Children about to start nursery are encouraged to make one or two familiarisation visits with a parent/carer to help them settle in. On their first ‘proper’ day with us they will be welcomed by their Key Person and re-introduced to the other children. Whilst we try not to encourage children to bring their own toys from home with them, however sometimes a teddy or blanket can be a comfort for them in their first few sessions. However, most children quickly settle in and enjoy their new surroundings.
