NDNA Quality Counts
In November 2021 we were very proud to have joined the few nurseries that have been awarded the Quality Counts Platinum Award for the National Day Nurseries Award in recognition of the standard of childcare and education we offer our children.
What is Quality Counts?
Quality Counts is a registered certification mark from the NDNA designed to distinguish the nurseries that offer only the very best and most consistent quality childcare. At it’s heart, it is a quality improvement scheme designed to showcase nurseries that want to reflect, review and improve their practice to the highest quality standards.
The award can take up to 12 months to achieve and covers every area of our service and childcare.
“Quality Counts is NDNA’s quality improvement scheme for nurseries. It showcases nurseries that want to reflect, review and improve their practice to the highest quality standards.
Achieving Quality Counts gives your parents and staff the reassurance that your nursery meets defined and robust quality standards.”
What it means to be Quality Counts accredited?
Quality Counts is an additional accreditation from the NDNA that goes alongside an Ofsted grading, but the aim is to go above and beyond the Ofsted requirements and highlight the highest quality of childcare providers.
Having both an Outstanding Ofsted grading and now a Platinum Quality Accounts accreditation means that you can be certain that Wisbech Day Nursery, offers only the highest quality childcare and are committed to improving the care we provide at every opportunity.
“Achieving Quality Counts involves a great deal of hard work and development and illustrates a nurseries absolute commitment to children. The nursery should be very proud of this achievement as the Quality Counts scheme demonstrates that children are at the heart of what they do”.
What they say about us
On receiving our Platinum award, we also were given a copy of the assessment report for our accreditation, our report was filled with glowing descriptions of our nursery and the care we provide to all the children who attend. These are some of the comments from our report:
“Wisbech Day Nursery has a clear commitment to providing an enabling environment that encourages development across all areas and is constantly changed and adapted so that all children can enjoy and achieve.”
“There is a clear commitment to keeping children safe and ensuring the health and well-being of staff, children and parents.”
“There is exceptionally strong and effective leadership within the setting which results in a highly effective staff team.”
“The management and staff of the setting share a clear ethos and strive for continuous self-reflection and continuous improvement through all areas including ensuring staff are highly motivated, up to date and trained to a high standard leading to very effective quality practice that ensures all children make good progress.”
